So what is a good price for the DC20? New and Used? I am seeing from just under 200.00 to about 100.00 all plus shipping.
under 100
So it seems it is a little hard to find one under 100, I bought one with shipping 125, I guess that’s not to bad.
all you want right here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260589658241
$92.95 w/ free shipping. Dog not included 😯
Thanks for the heads-up on those, John. That is a good price, and free shipping to boot.
IMO, the 20 adapts to rocket use better than the 30, although the 30 is better for actual dog tracking.
Really? I prefer the 30, personally, as it mounts beautifully on a vertical sled, and fits in a 3″ tube with no modification. You can even squeeze it in a 54.
An update–I ordered and paid for 3 units on June 2, they were delivered today, so this ebay vendor seems OK.
My DC-30’s fit easily “unopened” into a 54mm Coupler. They easily fit into a 3 inch NC.
Also, if they need repair, I can slip them back into the dog collar for factory warranty…
They’re a bit pricier, but how many will I ever need? (Actually, this may be a dumb question to pose…)

IT IS !! 😉
Got a notice today that Garmin is introducing a new dog collar unit, the DC-40. It appears that this unit eliminates the GPS unit on top of the dog’s neck, and has everything in one unit that sits at the dog’s throat. Has a pretty long antenna, but this looks like an improvement to the DC-30 for rocketry use. Which is what I am sure Garmin was trying to achieve. Haven’t see a price on it yet, it is in pre-order status.
