EB Pass Through

I have worked around diesel engines for 25 years. Never thought I
would be using an engine part on a rocket.

An N14 Cummins engine has an electric wire passthrough that gets
the engine wire harness from outside the engine into each fuel
injector, inside the engine.
While working on my EB for my 5.50″ rocket I had a lot of room…(compaired to a 3″) I relized this pass through was made for rockets. Where in goes through the wood there is an o-ring ( a snug fit). And two, two wire harnesses with weather pack plug. One 1/4″ bolt holds it
in place.
The weater pack plugs and the mounting o-ring will keep all charge gasssses away from the altimeter.
I also added a Cummins ISX sensor tube blue o-ring around the bolt
to seal that.
I do not have the bay done. No charge holder, no threaded inserts but
the wiring is done.
This I will be adding to my Big Nuke, In hopes of trying for level 2
at Oktoberfest.

This all cost a little $35.00, but it works so well.

No rambling at all Mike. That is a great idea. That’s the kind of thing I like to see posted. Ideas are the basis for everything and finding rocketry components mis-labeled as they are all over the spectrum of products, this is a good one.
