denverdoc, thanks. John Bixler is sending up 10 to Hartsel. It should be enough, but I still need to ground test using the altimeter. I ordered 20 through Quickburst, but I don’t think I’ll get them by Friday afternoon. If needed, I may need a couple from you on Saturday.
Thanks again. Everyone on this thread has been an incredible amount of help.

Xman.
I must have missed you at Hartsel, had half a dozen prewired cannisters for you, maybe i can mail them.

John, thanks. I actually received my shipment from quickburst on the 21st, so I have plenty now. Decided not to do the DD thing at Hartsel due to my H cato. Wasn’t feeling to confident after that. It will fly eventually.

Duh, sorry I didn’t make the connection–sometimes these avatars are a pain–kept asking anyone know who xman is, never having looked at the signature before heading out to hartsel.

Quickburst is good, and what I’ll use EVENTUALLY for L3: http://www.quickburst.net/igniters.htm
For rockets under 3″ in diameter, I use Pratt’s WEC: http://www.pratthobbies.com/products.asp?cat=1
Denverdoc had some really good advice. Always, ALWAYS check continuity and ohms for the igniters. I carry a volt/ohm meter w/battery checker… don’t forget to check the batteries, too. NEVER trust batteries out of a pack bought at any store; you never know how long they’ve been sitting there. You have EVERYTHING riding on ’em. And, don’t worry; I’ve seen the best (people in the club that have a lot of experience and worthy of the highest respect) come down un-chuted. You’re not alone, just do everything you can to make sure it will work, and fly it. Good luck!
Bruce,
It makes me wonder if there shouldn’t be a stickied heading called “pearls” as in short for pearls of wisdom. In medicine we are always on the lookout for such, and the right one at the right time can be lifesaving (rocketsaving). So in this spirit I’ll open a new thread so named. Please all contribute as it is thru collective wisdom most progress made, to paraphrase sir isaac, i see futhuh, cuz of my motha, and all the brothers ‘fore me.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
