I have a buddy who is a civil engineer and it occured to me today that we submit our As-Built drawings to the governmental jurisdictions on mylar. So I grabbed partial roll of it from him to try out. Going to wet out some glass with the mylar on either side tonight and see if it works. If it does, the 40″ rolls are less than $1 a foot. I think it’s 4 mil material but it seems to be a good stiffness to stay rigid and still roll nicely. Anyone tried this before? It has a matte finsh, which I’m guessing is not optimal, but i’ll try it anyway.
