I wanted to make those flying over 10k feet aware that you qualify for membership in the Extreme Altitude Club (which has brackets for 10k, 20k, 30k, etc). Club membership is free and you get a tshirt and listed on the website and magazine. I’ve been slacking on getting the club membership going and am putting forth a better effort this flying season. Details may be found at http://www.extremerocketry.com. Also, I’ll have a booth space setup Sat/Sun at the MHM launch with my banner if you wanna chat about it. See you all there!
PS. I’ll be publishing a MHM launch report in the July issue of Extreme Rocketry.
8) Well, the 10K is a good place to start! The VA on an Pro 54 K1440 should do the job. 8)
38mm min dia with a J540 could punch that! but the finding it is always the fun issue!
A Cirrus well built on a healthy I will do it.
Just a reminder… several of you took forms for the altitude club with you to mail in. I’m starting to gather article and info for issue #73 and need to have everything in my hands by next week to go in the upcoming issue. if you wish to have your name and flight included in the Extreme Altitude Club listing for issue #73, please fill out the online form at
http://extremerocketry.com/ExtremeAltitudeClub/ExtremeAltitudeClub.html
or fax/mail the form to me so I can get it setup.
ps. I’m still stuck getting the cafepress setup for the tshirts…. any help in that area would be appreciated!
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
