Nice!! it can be tough early or late down there. I hope some of the good weather carries over to next month. I’ll be there…

Best weather in Months. Going through Boulder down 93 to 470 then up 285 was like Winter Wonder Land. But up on top…… Like breaking into Spring. The drive home was only about 20 Minutes shorter with traffic campared to going up.
My “K” shot GPS said 7246 on the altitude campared to the two altimeters, one said 6795 and the other like 6725.
The RRC2 minis were a lot closer at the last launches. Only like 50 feet off. I wonder if the reprograming had somthing to do with that?
Maybe it flew into the Higher Pressure coming in this week. 🙄
Or maybe Lo pressure rides on top of High….. I will have to look that up. 🙄
Kinda interesting anyway.April 22, 2009 at 2:43 am #50379SCOTT EVANS

Funny you mention that! I applied for a personalized tag in CO… I tried to get “TMNS321” (T minus 3, 2, 1…) but it was rejected as it was too close to a standard plate (4 letters + 3 numbers). I have an idea what I’m going to try for next, but would love to hear suggestions here?
In Iowa, personalized plates were $25, one time fee – so everyone had them. Before you pounce on the “Iowa-sure-has-inexpensive-plates” bandwagon, understand it was an additional $25 over and above the “use fee”. The “use fee” on my car was about $1800. At that point, an extra $25 was no big thing.
So… lets hear some ideas for a new rocketry-related plate? I’m all ears!

UPNAWAY
Excellent! I think I get 7 letters in CO, so that fits nicely…. BTW, I also thought of “PHITS”, for purely sentimental reasons (Punching Holes In The Sky, the legacy NAR club). Many of today’s NCR phlyers have great PHITS memories.
I wonder if UPNAWAY is taken? Great idea!
