I have been teaching rocketry at my school (Mt. Phoenix Community School) in Golden for two years now. I am in the process of applying for a Cannon Grant through the NAR. Because our participants have doubled this year (flights tripled) and the expansion of the program that will increase participants to nearly 100 students next year, I am looking to develop a safer launch area that would include a launch rail with multiple rods and a Launch Command Center.
I would like to be able to present in my application a short list and cost estimate on materials needed to build a more appropriate system that would provide increased safety and reliability.
Surely someone in our club could give me shopping list and an estimated cost that I could submit with my application?
any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
