I am assuming the high altitude waivers are still on for the May Launch.
If I can iron out the kinks that have poped up. I will put this up……finally
“Obsidian Vapor”
Just have to remember how to spell it long enough to get the name on the card!
looks fantastic!!!!
Looks awesome!
What day? What motor?
Looks to be 4″ min dia.
Details, man!

Sweetness Scott. “Windows” should be available each of the three days in May. I’ll need to know ahead of time by a little bit to make all of the proper arrangements for the high altitude opportunities.
3″ MIN. DIA. Cessaroni M1545
Had it a couple years, Just was never able to get it done.
Like I said, still a couple of small kinks to work out.
Son has somthing his mother says he has to do on Saturday and me too. 😕
So unless weather forcast is totally unfavorable on Sunday, it will be on Sunday.
As I recall, that was an especially nice tip to tip job we did on that bird. Let me know how the flight goes since I won’t be able to make it.
ok….maybe Saturday now!
Just down loaded the data from the GPS….what little I could get. Obsidian Vapor topped out at 34075 feet. 8)
According to the last data point we might have been looking in the wrong spot. 😕
Sim was 400 feet low.
Obviously I wasn’t there, but what happened with the flight? Good, bad or ugly???
Also, isn’t there supposed to be a MOSTLY complete airplane sitting in that hanger? Ping me if you want to go up in Airwest’s Cherokee with me. I got signed off on it last Friday and need to build some time in it.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
