Joe,
I’ll be sending my L3 up on a healthy M – it shouldn’t break 20, but it’s close enough for discomfort, and having a window would be a good idea. It’ll probably go up Saturday.
Joe, the Louwers / Adamson / Musselman / Wilke project will need two distinct windows. I will send my KestreL up right behind one of those shots.
If you want to see the REAL DEAL on our project, come on out to BALLS. ***********IF********** our experimental motor works, it will be a revolutionary blast. If we told you how high we were trying to put a 54mm project up, you’d think we were smoking hippie lettuce 😀 It will either be really cool – or we drove 2,000 miles for nuthin. Go big or go home, right???
I will bring My tent if anyone wants to sleep the night.
I will have it in the truck, if anyone is interested.
Basic ‘NO FRILLS’ accommodation’s.
John, if anyone knew the details of the BALLS shot, it would be absolutely clear we were smoking something… as it is, we might just set a field record at the north site with this baby. Under 4# and on an L motor? One of my best layup jobs if I do say so myself.

I doubt that you’ll set a field record. It’ll do great I’m sure, but John’s M shot was so close to the waiver that I doubt you have any chance of beating it. You might set a field L record though. Which L are you using?
Yeah, this is a pretty long rocket, and there aren’t any full L motors now in 54mm, so I don’t think we will break 30k tomorrow even if we hit it with the L930 Imax.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
