I am hoping to get my L3 in July since I got shut down by the clouds at MHM. Wanted to confirm Saturday we have opportunity for 35k call in and also wanted to see if a TAP is planning on being there. JW signed off as initial TAP on my project.
Thanks, Sean
Yes on “window” opportunities for both Saturday and Sunday – to be arranged on site as needed. So far, several projects looking up… Can’t speak for the TAPS but understood James Russell will be there if needed. JW has been travelling extensively with more on the docket and Art’s probably not available…
I am headed home now…. Hope to be there for the launch!

How is/was south America. Do they have Cities there? What do the indigenous peoples eat? Do they drive cars? Did you have to fly on an airplane with less than 1 jet engine? Did you ride on any busses with goats and sheep? 😉
Sorry I have just seen a lot of movies.
Did you fly on an airplane that started out with 1 engine and ended up with none? 😉
Ok I would like to shoot for a 0900 – 1100 launch window for my L3 attempt and will need a 35k waiver during that time, so Joe if you could pencil that in that would be great. I also think Doug Krohn and Scott Martin are planning on flying their kestrels on the K300s at that time so will also need the window.
Since JW signed off on my project I need a separate TAP to witness the flight. Art or James are you planning on being there Sat?
I plan on setting my tower up before hand and if anyone else is interested in a commercial altitude shot you are welcome to use it just let me know beforehand.
Thanks!! -Sean
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
