Last year a liner got stuck in my 38mm case.
I since got it out and had purchased 3′ of 38mm
liner.
I need to cut a 11.5″ piece.
What is the best tool to use to cut the liner?
1. Razor Blade
2. Pipe cutter
3. Saw
4. Other
Thanks Mike

I used a razor saw when this happened to me. Then a little 220 or 400 grit sandpaper to clean up the edges. Have you tried contacting AeroTech about them sending out a new precut liner, or is this how you ended up with the longer piece?
Ron
Correct. 3′ sticks.
Use a hacksaw or a fine tooth saw of some kind and then sand the end square with a block as Ron suggested.

One really nice thing about that liner material – it makes a FANTASTIC piston for phenolic or LOC airframe, if pistons are your thing. Doesn’t schtick as easily as coupler material, and it seems to be just a tad smaller than coupler so it glides quite well.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
