ParticipantI’d love to find long-burning, full-impulse, G, H, and I motors. I didn’t see anything like that on Loki’s website, though.
Actually looking comparatively to other manufactures in the G and H class specifically, Loki has about the same burn times as AT longer burn G and H motors in the same reloadable motor classes, AMW nor CTI or Gorilla have anything long burning in those ranges at the moment. But if you also compare the Loki in the same range they also have a little higher total newtons with comparative burn times. That should also give you a better thrust to weight lift off ratio. Per say like the Loki G80 and the Loki H90.
They do have a Long burn I motor with the moon burner I110. Great motor!!
Loki has some up and coming future products that will have everyone pleased Im sure. They just recently released their Red, Blue, (BTW Paul Holmes of TMT testing made point at LDRS when I was talking with him to mention Loki blue as the best blue he had ever seen) and a sparky load known as Spitfire. One cool thing about their spitfire formula vs others ive seen from AMW and Gorilla (and I like both AMW and Gorilla’s sparky loads) is that they have a higher power/thrust and more total newtons for a given like motor. Most cases with others sparkies is lower performance and thats not the case with Loki’s Spitfire.Stuff thats up and commimg…… A W9 comparable faster blue
Larger motor classes in the N ranges
Larger moon burner motors in the 75mm and very possibly 98mm ranges
More colors. and an overall expansion of the line.September 3, 2007 at 7:59 pm #45205Chris LaPanse
W9 comparable in just speed, or in Isp too?

ParticipantComparable in all.

That would be quite impressive, as I have never heard of or seen a colored motor that could match W9 in Isp (230+ seconds in the atmosphere in relatively small motors)

ParticipantConway, are you or is anyone else an official stocked Loki dealer yet? If not are you still planning to be? I’m interested in trying some loads but I haven’t heard anything about them since Tim Thomas had a few for demo flights.

Well right now im at the hands of ATFE. That is the last I am waiting on. Looks like the soonest we will probably be vending will be MHM of 08. The ATFE could take 4 weeks or 4 months. So as of this moment yet no, no one is actually stocking them. I have an agreement with Jeff Taylor owner of Loki that as soon as our permit is approved we will have the entire line and we will be the Loki dealer in Colorado.
If your curious as to who we are:
Colorado Research Supply
Owned operated by James Russell and myself.
We will be the Official Loki motor dealer amongst other products. As things move along we will keep you updated and look forward providing Loki motors and other great products.
