Scott,
On your sucessful flight, which used motor deployment, you said the test you werre doing with your new Missileworks RRC2-mini controller didn’t fire the backup charges. Did you find out if that was a setup or programming error? The setup sequence on those are not as simple as the other devices, and I am concerned because I bought two of those myself last week to reduce the space taken up by my two RRC2X’s.
I think it might have been some of my home made matches were bad, but I dont know for sure. I havent really looked at it yet.
Im in the process of building that vucume chamber we talked about in another post. It will be complete with a vacume pump (auto Ac maintanance pump) Digital Altimeter and blead valves so a launch can be fully simulated, right down to knowing the altitude your main will deploy at. Its a 1 foot cube, so hopfully a whole electronics bay can be slipped inside, matches and all. (no powder) 😯
Probly cost a couple hundred dollers to build before its all said and done.
No Chrome this time though.
Its going to take a couple of weeks, on account of Pinewood Derby season. 😉
When I get it finished anyone is welcome to use it.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
