I’ve been to both MHM and OF before (as has my dad). What you guys do is really cool. Perhaps you’ve seen me there before…I’m usually the guy with the most outrageous boost glider and two kids with creative scratch builds.
Thanks to everyone for their offers. I’m still contemplating what to do, but have got “permission” from my wife to certify if that’s the best option. I’ll be in contact with some of you to line up motor casing(s) either way. The project is in its painting phase right now.
One other question about certifying. Suppose I attempt L1 on this highly uncertain Racer project and fail. I can still make another attempt on the same day with the same rocket, or with another rocket, right?

(hmm, that didn’t work)
Geof, the kind of gliders… we’re always glad to see you out at the field and we’re always glad to help you out.

It took me two attempts for my Level 1.
No one had a problem with that.
All flights in Rocketry are learning experiences.
PS: I also admire Your flights. I have only seen them on DVD, but
they have a huge impact.
Your involvement with Your family is a welcome sight.
You would help Rocketry by advancing in the sport.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
