What altitude did it achieve? Dual deploy? Which direction and altitude did you last see it?

ParticipantRocksim says about 7,000 ft, I was probably under that due to added weight and not so hot aerodynamics. Last I saw it, it was coming down just to the right of the first set of double trees that run along the highway. 36″ parachute. Base kit is 51oz but add a 3 grain 54mm cess case. Flew it on a J355.

you launched just after I did. The winds were pushing east further than I thought once I got out in that direction.
I went 5k+ at the Feb launch with similar winds and wound up further left of the trees (from my last sighting) but across the road with another 250yds beyond.March 5, 2013 at 2:16 am #56436Jack Matthews
ModeratorLike Dave, I launched in Feb, similar met conditions – a J210 in my PML Miranda, 5.9 lb actual weight on the pad, 48″ chute – RockSim said 7000+ft. Fortunately had a dog collar on board. Went a lot further than I expected – 1.57 miles ESE of the launch pad. Good luck.

ParticipantOK, I ran a few more sims. Could have landed 1.29mi from the pad. Unfortunately this brings me over to the other side of Hwy 14. Does Pawnee end at 14? and, if so, who owns the land on the other side of the road? I am hoping that it landed north of the road and will search there more first next weekend. Worried though if I am wrong its either in the field on the other side of 14 or worse case its in the construction zone. What the heck are they building anyway?

Participantfrom about 7000 feet landed across the main paved road (Hwy 14). They landed East of the oil processing facility near the 4×4 road and West of the house there. Roxana tracked it with her Big Red Bee. She said it was 3km from the pads — to the southeast. Vic’s was found almost on the 4×4 road.
I think my Tethys is there too. I searched all south of the oil processing facility but feel I did not go far enough east. I spent four hours looking.
My guess is your rocket is in the same viscinity.

ParticipantWhat color is it? My current plan is to head out there Saturday if the weather predictions get better. I will look for it too.

ParticipantIf you see Jack’s photolink from the week end, it’s the first rocket in pictures!
See the March Launch thread JackMatt
I’d join you, but I’m leaving town for work.
If you find it, I’ll trade you a decent motor in return. Good luck!
