Today was a perfect day for flying. I had one very bad flight and
one 1/2 good flight. My Thor-x upscale on an L1115 was a fantastic
liftoff. I had shock cord seperation. Everything was OK but the booster.
A new airframe for it and I’m ready to go. Fins, electronics and all the
important stuff survived.

Many Great Flights.
Looks like a great day on the prairie. I wish could have been there but I could only do two days. I bet on Friday and Sat. Maybe I’ll get that L3 bird up in July.
I showed Becky the photos and she was wondering who’s grave you were digging when she saw the photo of the Mad Dog recovery.
Hard luck Mike. Impressive photos … looking at your mad dog, bottom ~5 feet came in ballistic and buried ~4 feet in the ground?
No….8′ and 7′ in the ground. 😯
What a grave. Sunday I will go back with a garbage bag,
pick up the small parts and fill in the whole hole. 😆
Mike, as always, the photos are great and appreciated. Thanks for the Redstone pics. Sorry I wasn’t around around to help you with your big bird. Had to leave sort of suddenly.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
