I won’t delete anyone, but for 8 years I have traditionally taken the Saturday AM slots from 8AM until noon and will continue to plan on that LCO slot for both MHM and O-fest until either I burn out or the events do. This year I have financial issues that may prevent me from attending so having other LCO options would be wise. If I make it, I’ll be LCO. Not trying to be a bitch about it, but it is essentially the only benefit I claim from lifetime membership and long term participation in the executive committee.
Warren,
We fully understand and respect your interest in LCO for Saturday. It is in the interest of the club, and all the flyers, and is highly appreciated.
If you can’t make it, please let me know as soon as possible and we can get a backup. We have had situations in the past where flyers have had to give up their planned, and valuable, flight time in order to fill in for a no show. I hope we don’t have to repeat that at MHM this year.
I’ll backup Warren if he can’t make it.

Fantastic. I appreciate all the sign-ups already!
@MikeS…
Got Thursday and Friday off, so thought I’d come out with my little travel trailer (and grandson) and help with set up on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning with set up.
What time do you plan on being there on Thursday PM?
I will be there noonish on Thursday.
Set-up will probably not start till twoish.
Some pre-prep before set up.
It’s going to be a great MHM.
We all will need to be on our toes. Please take the time when at the pad
prepping, to look around for any problems. Let’s be proactive and
take care of any concerns.
I won’t be able to make it that early – but will try to be there around 3..
Wish I could make it this year to MHM, but it’s my son’s high school graduation is Sat. and we have family coming to town. I love rockets but family first. Take lots of photos and have fun!

Any time frame for the high altitude windows yet? Doug Krohn and I have a 2 stage 98-75 Mongoose project we will plan to launch on Saturday and we were hoping for a window from 10:00-12:00 if that coordinates well with others. I haven’t heard if others are planning any high altitude flights. Hopefully the jet stream won’t be camped out on top of us! -Sean
Windows will be arranged on a need basis each day – thanks for the head’s up on your Saturday plans. That should be doable. Terry Lee will be bringing his awesome trailer with 20′ 1515 rail some time on Friday – should be just what you need unless you don’t have rail buttons.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
