ParticipantWe bought a home west of Windsor. I’ll try and make the Atlas launch on 3/7 though I likely won’t have anything to fly (unless I jump into that alphabet contest, which sounds interesting?????)
If you want to jump in I’ll supply you with all the little motors you need….. Not joking either. I have over 200 Estes motors. I’ll probably be giving some out to kids at the next launch. I think my Daughter and I will have our D12 birds ready to paint tonight, so I know she will be ready for the 7th.

Wow, that’d be awesome! I think I may try to zip from about A-D at the next launch. I see several folks have made respectable progress already. I’ll get some ARF (almost ready to fly) stuff.
I haven’t flown an Estes motor in perhaps 30 years. To I have never once flown an “E”, so that will be interesting…

ZIP HUH??!! Better be careful John. You can fly an “M” to 30,000 feet, but it might be embarasing if you cant get an “A” or “B” to pop a chute properly 🙂

I think this is an intriguing contest that could get interesting late in the year. It would be very below average to have to start over from an L…

Yeah, you have to watch that “dog barf” stuff, it’s pretty complicated you know….. And those silly little PLASTIC chutes, man, I tell ya, they could drive a normal man to become a nun. 😛

ParticipantYeah, well, they are pretty complicated ya know. You mess up one of those and WHAM wrath of God type thing. I think I heard a guy once talking about his brother’s cousins neighbor having a stroke from a melted chute causing his rocket to crash. 😯 Umm, yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I think….
So anyway, I’m looking forward to next weekend. I sure hope it’s a good one!!! I need to get out for a bit.February 28, 2009 at 12:05 am #49924SCOTT EVANS
I think Ill put “Hair of the Dog” up on a “K” next week end.
This Dawg better Barf out somthin a little better than a plastic chute!!! 8)
If I have my way he will Barf twice. 🙂March 5, 2009 at 8:28 pm #49925mule
ParticipantHey John,
I can cover you up to a single use F. Beyond that, you will have to talk to THE MAN!!!! 😛If you want to send up A8-3s & C6-5s all day long, I have ya covered 😆
Holy cow batman, I can’t believe how many BP motors I ended up with. I have a handful of Estes wadding I’ll be giving away to the first kid that drops by my area…. Also, I’m going to set out a box of motors for kids to use. Not sure which ones yet, but probably in the A or B range. Assuming the weather holds for us.

Awesome. We’ll see if the weather cooperates?
Many years ago, during the very first or second MHM – when John Hall was prefect – we had to cancel MHM because it was too dry. It is obviously ery dry now… hopefully the prairie (and my lawn) get a drink soon?
