Are naked rockets allowed at MHM? 😯
I don’t think I’ll have time to do a decent paint job on my two-stager “The Twins” aka Slipstick IV before then.
Oh, yeah… and that’s the way many fly anyway, especially for a maiden flight or altitude records. You’re good to go.
As long as you make sure the “naughty bits” are covered up, the bikini line is trimmed tight and you keep them out of sight of small children, there shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve flown many a naked bird.

Here is what I’m going to fly for MHM. It is a 2.56 rocket with a 26″ 54mm motor mount. It will be fed a diet of nitrous 🙂 I’m planning on flying SRS 38’s, 54’s and then Sunday as many Alpha Hybrids as I can get in a day (I’ve got 9 tanks ready to go 🙂 )

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
