It’s weather. You can’t predict it or control it. If one of us could we’d have more money than Bill Gates 🙂 You have to take the good with the bad. Saturday and Sunday look great for flights. Tomorrow might be a little windy. At least we don’t live in Wyoming 🙂

Ha! Doggone it, while I will regret this, I just may go out tomorrow and hunker down with the cool kids, or is that freezing kids? The thing about this is, whatever is decided, we need to be flexible about when we schedule or cancel a launch. Granted, our two big launches a year have vendors coming in and flyers from other states; we have AT LEAST 7 days to decide. And, that unfortunately is decided on statistics. This really is a crapshoot. The only thing worse than bad weather—rain or high winds—is sitting at home when the weather changes to GREAT flying weather, right? Besides, NOTHING is gong to keep me from watching Kent (GLR) flying his rocket, the SLEDGE HAMMER, HOW COOL IS THAT?
I guess I’ll see you there at some point in time tomorrow. 😕
Well, hell, Dave, each one of us puts out 100 Watts of heat… Art may need us to keep his camper warm enough to survive. Or, in my case, maybe 75 Watts. 🙄
Wow
9:10 AM Greely METARS says Wind 330 at 38 knots Gusting to 46.
Doesnt seem that windy at my house in Longmont.
Nope, can’t make it today. Please pass that on to Art.
I will try to let him know, I came back in do to the wind.
Thanks, James. I left him a message on his cell, but as we all know, reception out there is poor at best.
Just checked the weather, and Ault had a gust of 60 mph. BUT tomorrow should be 55, SUNNY, calm then winds hitting 6-9 mph later in the day. That spells PERFECT!
Was at the North Site. Things are improving.
It is looking good to Saturday and Sunday.
All messages delivered.

Those guys are the diehards that make this club work. 😉 Thanks, Mike.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
