Good, I hope to fly mine in BDCR at OF.
NOW we’re talkin’!
You betcha!
YES! I was thinking you might be headed to Balls instead of visiting with your club here.

I was planning on going until I ran out of reasons to go. Pulling the trailer twice as far mostly to watch others fly sort of made me realize that I would have a better time going back up North instead. Its not like I was going to fly anything special up there that I couldn’t fly at the North site. The worst part is that the actual launch location at Black Rock isn’t determined until the day before the launch and there isn’t enough time for me to set up.

Isn’t it the I65 8+ seconds of burn very cool.
I guess the N1000 16 second burn will be twice as cool 😯
What!!! N1000!
I feel it may be time to build an new extention to a 98mm rocket!
I’m getting a brand new CTI dual thrust M motor – it has one grain of Vmax and 4 of Imax, IIRC. It should give 1 second at 600lbf, followed by 4 seconds at 250lbf. Should be a lot of fun 😀
Chris,
That sounds sweet! What day are you thinking of flying and what’s the bird? Are you getting you’re L3 at the same time?
No L3 on that one – I’ll be attempting 3 miles and supersonic velocity in my AMRAAM (probably on Saturday), which will be a flight signed off on by a L3 (since I can’t get my L3 on an already built rocket). I’ll probably go for my L3 at MHM instead, though I’m not sure what rocket exactly I’ll be using.
It’ll definitely have a 98 though 😀
8) Hello all. Sorry to be so quite. Airfest took up so much of my time. All done now, so I will get in touch with everyone and let’s get ready for Octoberfest! Lots of new things to talk about, I will write more soon. If you need to contact me call (970) 985-5172 and we can gab… Tim
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
