Hey Tim – I’ll be looking for something along the lines of a K550 or K570WW for Saturday if the weather is good. I was thinking about trying a Cesaroni but I just don’t know anything about their loads. I’m more interested in big smoke and fire than colors.
Cessaroni motors provide all of the POWER, smoke and noise anyone could ask for. And the clean up is easy too. And there are other options as well. LOKI motors have huge thrust, long burn and also sparks if you’re looking for ’em. Too many choices… not enough rockets.
The easy clean-up is probably the biggest factor in my book, assuming performance is similar.
Oh, the performance is more than similar. Better. I’m trying to remember the new CTI blues… they’re really cool! Or hot… ask Tim about those. Even though the blues are blue, they have a heap of thrust.
Are you talking the blue streak like this one. http://www.tripolicolorado.org/photos/2009_Fall_Frenzy/tcfallfrenzy09-007.jpg I236 blue streak.
Yeah! It’s like Mike Bennett’s Everclear research loads only blue. Very nice flight!
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
