Well I know that Mayhem around the corner and im flying my biggest rocket ive ever constructed. And sadly enough im stubbern as a donkey and cant think of a name for it. If you guys can through out ideas perfurably ones you havnt used that would be a HUGE help. The rocket is 5.3 inches in diameter and is 9.5 feet tall.

Warren B. MusselmanModeratorThat is hysterical to be sure…
By the way, the name of my L-altitude record bird is “Delicate Sound of Thunder“, my J-altitude record bird is “Hot Needle of Inquiry“, my G-altitude record bird is “Another Momentary Lapse of Reason“, and my repaired and lengthened 4” bird is “A Bigger O“. None of my kit built birds have names.
Warren Musselman
PS: Delicate Sound of Thunder is a Pink Floyd reference. Hot Needle of Inquiry is the name of a spaceship in a Larry Niven story from his tales of known space universe (Ringworld) and “Momentary Lapse of Reason” is also a Pink Floyd reference – since I had another bird of the same essential design that took the E altitude record, I called this one ANOTHER momentary lapse of reason. The BIG O was my first project I ever did larger than 2.5″ airframe (it is 4″) and so since the rebuilt rocket is bigger, I call it the BIGGER O.

That you have even given some thought to a name is good–i recall on 2 occasions being made to think about it for the first time while filling out the flight card. One got called dog barf, cuz I’d been looking all over hell for some, while another was 3FNC-actually my L2 flight, cuz it was just that.
Warrens comments are interesting and suggestive of a deep love of fine music and SF, and who knows what else….My MHM rocket is dubbed Mid-Life Crisis, cuz I’m turning 50 and can’t afford a red carrera nor even a buxom 24 year old secretary to run off with,

Doug GerrardParticipantKyle,
For what its worth, BDCR stands for Big Dumb Camera Rocket because I was in the same delima. It was orginally BDR until I added the camera. I’m sure when you show up with it we’ll call it all kinds of names 😉
