Forums › Knowledge Base › Need to borrow a Rocket Rage RRQS-15 to test fit
Does anyone have an RRQS-15 chute from Rocket Rage? I have a nice Top Flight chute that I really like, but I’d like to compare the amount of space it takes vs. the RRQS-15. If the RR chute takes a lot less, I may go that route.
If someone has one an RRQS-15 and they’d bring it to MHM to let me compare, I’d be very grateful. As noted, I won’t be flying it, just test fitting it for a future boost.
Thanks,
JW
JW, I can bring one of mine,

Thanks, Doug! Do we get prizes for coming from so far away?

John,
I’ve got one too if needed. I’ll also tell you how much space it takes in a 3″ diameter rocket, if I read into your reasoning correctly.

Ed, that is where I am going with this, though we all pack chutes a bit different and I’d hate to get out to the playa and ask myself “Gosh, I wonder how Ed got that sucker into two inches of airframe….”
I better “roll my own”, and see how it goes? Conversely, if my TopFlight packs down tighter, you can use it on your M shot. I really want one of us to crack 35K (before Tony does ~40 🙂 )
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
