Many of you were able to see the launches of my 1/3 scale Nike smoke with a unique 360 degree spherical HD camera system developed by a National Geographic fellow Corey Jaskolski that I had the opportunity to work with to get some high altitude rocketry photos for his projects. On Saturday we were able to get 3 flights off (K661, K550, and M1830) for some great videos. Once the 360 degree videos are rendered I will post links here but here are a few initial photos:

A big Thank you to everyone who arrived early in the mud to set up and to facilitate with the launch – NCR is a great club!
More to follow and we’re planning on going to BALLS for a possible 100k+ attempt using a refined 360 HD video system.

What a picture! What a great shot of the sustainer just after separation!
I can almost see me waving!
you can see me waiving! 😉
What is the estimated altitude on that shot?
about 4,400 feet agl. Still waiting to hook up with a PC to download data. Unfortunately the Raven FIP is still not Mac friendly so I am waiting to find a PC to download the flight data. 😡
WE WANT THE PICS! WE WANT THE PICS! 😉
