Members and Friends,
As if you hadn’t figured it out – NO GO for OKTOBERFEST. The current Statewide Fire Ban and dry conditions on the prairie, along with more COVID 19 concerns, have scrubbed NCR’s plans for our Oktoberfest launch event, October 2-4.
Up for a road trip? The San Luis Valley Rocketeers, NAR Section #774 will be flying on October 10th. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/3299575840096322
SCORE should be back on the range Saturday, October 17th. http://scronline.net/index.html
Tripoli Las Vegas is hosting their Oktoberfest on the Jean Dry Lake Bed – Friday thru Sunday October 16,17,18. Find details here: http://www.tripolivegas.com/
And Tripoli Colorado may or may not be holding their Fall Fest, depending on the Red Flag situation in Park County, October 24 and 25th. http://www.tripolicolorado.org/
Eventually, we’ll see you back out on the Pawnee National Grassland.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
