Just putting this out there for comments/feedback. Given that two days of the Oktoberfest launch weekend included the use of Research motors and only a total of six or seven research loads got used, wondering if we could consider cancelling the November Sunday Research launch or figure out a way to co-mingle everything for Saturday’s launch adventures as there would be more hands available if something went wrong providing we’re set up with the established safety distances required for Research activities. Looking for suggestions/alternatives – levels of interest in doing both days. Reply here or send me a PM. Windows available for both November dates and I’m willing to make whatever it takes work. Thanks.
Edited to correct the typo in the date. Thanks Dave.
Are you talking about a launch 89 years in the future? 😯
😉
Joe,
I have several birds I did not get up at Oktoberfest. I got one flight up Friday, was weathered out Saturday, and had to return moderately early Sunday — work on Monday…
I am interested in a two day launch, but not going to quibble if you reduce it to a single day event.
Thanks for your continued help and leadership.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
