Man was it great to be flying again. It was a great November launch at the Atlas site. Weather was good- by 10am there was no need for a fleece jacket. Mostly clear skies with high cirrus. Prairie was pretty dry, but the grass was short (shortest I’ve seen in 5 years).
At one point I counted 35 cars. I didn’t hear the final tally, but there must have been well over 100 flights with a lot of high power.
My girlfriend took over 300 photos with her 400mm telephoto- sorting through them now!

Un-officially as I haven’t finished sorting or begun posting – 114 flights – 33 different flyers – 80 Class One, 34 Class Two.
Sorry I missed it. I didn’t expect we would have a November launch after so many months of no launches or I would have prepped something. I’ve still got a bunch of K motors.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
