Thats where I need help, and am very new at sugar, and
do not test thrust. Yet.
They are 1″ PVC. Probably (I know probably & rocketry
do not mix) Probably in the ‘H’ range. ???
I was going to ground test. But… I do have one rocket
with electronic deply that will take a PVC motor. May
fly it. ???
All My previous tests have gone perfect.
I think Jeremiah and I could both be ready by then. I’m hoping to stick some grains in the test stand this weekend…… That’s all we had left to do.
I’ve made some PVC motors before….they were fun and very easy to make. I then switched to Purple Woody 38mm cases. Somewhere I bought a lathe and then it all went out the window 🙂 Last year I did the a&n numbers on KNO3 and sorbitol. I also did an aerospike sugar motor along with it. This year I’m going to get my rod and tube motor back working, starting at 54mm and then up to 75mm.
I’ll have a hybrid if anyone wants to fly saturday or sunday, sunday I have a grain that I want to try out.
All right! Whos the ney sayer in the group!
I have the tar! We need feathers. 😉
Hey Ken, I’ll have the 1400 ns case with me if you want to fly that load….
I bet the no is the person stuck doing setup / tear down / LCO / etc 🙂 I can’t LCO but I’ll help tear down. Can probably tow if you need someone.
I’ll bring the feathers
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
