As of now I am aiming for 10:00am. The earlier the better.

ParticipantSo as to make sure to not clash. What Rail will you guys be using. I will probably use the Extreme.

High Tension will be going off of Doug Gerrard’s pad or if that doesn’t work out then it will go off of the swing set.

Conway you have an un named rocket? OMG! That’s unthinkable! How are you going to fill out your flight card?
I’m guessing Skyler, ‘Thug’s Secret Decoder Ring’ and ‘I’d rather be doing ballet’ are out. Let us know if we can help further.

ParticipantLooks like Freeze Frame is a go, probably… The rocket is finished and you can check out the paint job at http://www.rocketryphotography.com/rockets/RocketsFreezeframe.html if you like.
I still have a few issues to work out but if everythng falls into place I should fly it at Oktoberfest. I don’t know when but I can narrow it down to either Friday or Saturday 😀 The remaining issues are small things like getting the camera controller built, programmed, and tested and getting my laptop to talk to my altimeters… nothing major 😉

ParticipantDoug. I have yet to meet you in person and boy do I look forward to it, I still have the rocketry Magazine with you and your Mars Snoopper in it. I love that thing!! You do awesome work my freind a true master of what you enjoy. I hope someday to be able to reach that level of sucsess myself. Its an honor to fly at the same feild with you. The rocket looks really good. I like the booster seperation. Looks like it worked out well. Jims Pet2 timers have always been a favorite of mine. maybe someday I could talk you into throwing me a hand to do some film of one of my rockets.

I made several changes because of that and even a second test. That video you see is too “violent” and it blows them off “tail” first. Its suppose to be “nose” first so I adjusted the balancing point and reduced the charges. It looks better on the second test (not posted).
I could talk you into throwing me a hand to do some film of one of my rockets.
That shouldn’t be a problem but it does usually take planning and coordination but I always like a free ride. 😉

Well, thanks to an idiotic mistake (how could I have been so stupid), my Deuce project will be a tight squeeze to finish in time for Oktoberfest. It should still work out, but only if EVERYTHING else works as planned with no further setbacks (what are the odds of that 🙄 ).
BTW – anyone have a Rouse-tech CD-3?

OK, the deuce project is closing in on completion, and it’s looking good.
I added some pics to the photo area of the website (here) of the build, including the most recent one of the dry fit.
