Half done with paint. Need to install motor retention. Need to fit electronics.
Coming along pretty well. ‘And Yes The Motor Does Fit.’

Level 3 painted, now just motor retainer, rail buttons and minor stuff on av-bay.

You’ll have to wait to see the rest. 😯
Mark, that’s one heck-of-a-nice paint job. Can’t wait to see it fly.
Holy cow! That’s an incredible paint job! I can’t wait to see it – and see your successful L3.
Mark, that is amazing, absolutely amazing. 😯 Wow!
WOW Mark, that’s an awesome paint job, someone has insane artistic talent. That’s just a picture, cant wait to see her in person!
Standing ovation!
David
WOW!!! If I’m lucky my L3 project will fly naked at Octoberfest.
This is going to be a really, really GREAT Oktoberfest! 8)
OUTSTANDING paint job, Mark!!! would love to know more about how that was done…
My project “Rough Draft” is on schedule (meaning it will be done about the night before the launch). This is a lighter / shorter / cleaner version of my 30K project last year. I hope to fly on the same motor and scratch out enough extra perfomance to get into the 6 mile club. Thanks to Warren M. for all the help on v-bagging. A bunch left to do, but it will be done in time.
ok I’d like to say I did the paint, but that’s not the case. I had a friend who paints custom harley’s do it. I told him my only rule was PG-13. other then that have at it. He was so excited about painting a rocket he only charged me materials, and beer 😀
He said the more he worked on it the more he wanted to put on it and let me tell you the pictures don’t do it justice. The more you look at it the more you find.
Problem now is my wife & son say it’s to pretty to launch. Fat Chance
I wanted something special for level 3 You only do it once Uhh right? 🙁
Here’s another one

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
