NCR has been asked to participate at the National Radial Engine Exhibition Airshow in Akron, CO. on September 12, 2009. (http://www.nree.net) Volunteers are needed to help with a static display of some High Power Rockets and answer questions about the hobby in general. There is also the distinct probability of a demonstration launch (or several, depending on time frames between air acts) for HPR and Low and Mid Powered rockets. Got something you’d like to show off? Interested in helping out? Please contact me ASAP so proper arrangements can be finalized.
Everyone missed out on one heck of a time! If you waffled on it, bummer for you. The WWII reenactment alone was worth hanging out.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
