I’m pleased to announce that I have reached agreement with Curtis Turner of Performance Rocketry on an arrangement that will result in Performance Rocketry tubes, couplers, cones, bulkplates, and kits to be stocked in northern Colorado and available at club launches.
Those familiar with Performance Rocketry know two things – customer service from Performance can be a bit of a challenge, and that the finished product is generally worth the wait. Hopefully the “challenge” component of that will be alleviated under this setup, as I intend to stock significant inventory of popular items.
I’ve flown this tubing quite a lot over the years… I used PR components for my 30,000’ “M” shot last year. I’m very confident in the materials.
Performance has a number of great kits you will recognize, including the Mad Dog, Little Dog, Intimidator, Competitor, Gizmo, Scale Patriot, Scale Nike, etc.. Most of these kits are available in a number of sizes. Perhaps the best-known, highest performance kit is the “Mongoose” minimum diameter, all-carbon kit available in 38mm through 98mm sizes.
I won’t have a web page for a while, but I do have some drawings and will stock many of the kits and components. Let me know if there is something you’d like to see (including tubes, couplers, cones, etc.). My first order goes in soon. I can email you pricing, availability, etc.

Thanks – it is a great way for me to keep my “toe in the water” as I fly less and less, but want to continue to hang out with the cool kids 8)

Good news, John. I anticipate seeing a few more projects on your bench!
Let me know when you have the first order in. It’s hard to go back to cardboard tube once you get used to PR.

Yes, I have three executive vice presidents (Sadie, Holly, and Betsy) – all are uniquely qualified in their particular area of expertise. I may even design some kits in their honor 8)
After I named the company it dawned on me that there is “Mad Cow Rocketry”, “Polecat Rocketry”, “Animal Motor Works”, “Skunk Works”, etc. I thought the name would set me apart some, but maybe not so much 🙂

Jeffrey Joe HintonModeratorAs long as those dogs can hunt down a rocket in the Pawnee Grasslands, there’s room on the membership roster for ’em. Great news John!

ParticipantI’ll be out Saturday with a bunch of kits, tubes, cones, couplers, etc.
BTW, Warren – my “iflyrockets” login has been nuked somehow. I cannot get in no matter how hard I try… so I re-registered w/ the 3dogs nameplate. Is anyone else having problems here?
