ParticipantHi All, Its been a while since I’ve attended a NCR launch so I’m planning on packing up the trailer and heading North to visit old friends and launch a few rockets for Oktoberfest, if the weather holds out. I will also bring along my complete launch pad set up with over 20 cameras mounted all around the launch pad. If you have a special rocket planned or just think you would be interested in flying off of my set up and would like it recorded, please contact me in advance if you are interested.
For those who may not be familiar with my set up, I have 10 high speed Sony cameras recording at 120 fps in 720P, seven GoPro cameras recording at 1080P at normal speed and 4 Nikon cameras capturing still images. There is a new audio recording system that records the sound directly to the normal speed cameras as well as an external file if desired for post-production. About half the cameras are fixed but the others pitch and tracks the rocket as it launches automatically. I have made a LOT of improvements since I last visited NCR. You will have the opportunity to purchase the footage if you wish (delivered the day after you launch) and I give a huge discount for those who wish to purchase in advance. Even if you are not interested in flying but just want to check out my set up, stop by.

ModeratorAwesome! Great to hear you’re planning on coming! Wait a minute, maybe I already knew that…. Looking forward to seeing you again. I’ll make mention at the September launch because I’m pretty sure the Forum audience is fairly limited in size, compared to membership.

ParticipantDoug,
I am interested in using your services for launch of my 2-stage at Octoberfest. What would be the pre-paid cost of the pictures?John Nelson

ParticipantHi John,
Thanks for your interest, I sent you a pm with some of the details. For anyone else that may also be interested, I am still working on my web site but if you would like to see examples of the footage you can look here http://vimeo.com/100900824 This was a video from Montreal earlier this year. Most of the footage shown at the launch pad was mine.

ParticipantThanks Ed, I’ve already promised Joe I would record his L3 cert when he is ready but he’s been too busy to get his rocket ready by Oktoberfest. The Saturn V would be very cool!

ModeratorDoug – glad to hear you are coming up! Will you be doing Friday night movie night again? Maybe you can bring Art out of the woodwork and to a launch 🙂

No movies this time, I’ll be too busy shooting new stuff. I’ll be doing some night time time lapses, etc. Art is suppose to be there. I’ve drafted him to help me do some of the recording I’ve got planned.
