What did you change with the paint from earlier? I was looking for it yesterday and got too busy w/ my L2 stuff…..
Greg
good job Jeffy! L2 accomplished, nothing had to go in the junk pile! I wonder what ever happend to your black and orange bird? was that one like dads stars and stripes? abducted by aliens?
I was going to paint it yellow with blue flames, but somewhere along the line I had a bad primer layer and everything on top of it wrinkled. SO…it was white primer with sand through on some yellow with the top painted black…with white flames masked off. Here’s a photo.
L1/L2 done. now time to build a dual deploy bird.
BTW…that’s NAR L1/L2, might have to join the darkside here soon. we’ll see
😈
Yup, definitely saw it, I was eying the flames….. Nice job on the flights. I started out on the dark side because I wanted to do my own motors and TRA seemed more research oriented. But, I thought it was the other way around on the dark side thing 😀
I’m doing a Vertical Assault from GLR, it’s going to be Canary yellow with either bird plumage on it to match my wife’s Gloster Canary or flames in red paint.
GLR makes some nice kits!
tim launched his 3inch vertical assault on a K motor and that thing was an AWESOME Flight! some guy had a Talon4 i think that was awesome too! jeffy next time let me know if you are going to use Polyester resin to glass….. as everyone says gets brittle and cracks….. but i kinda like the flame/ graffiti styles
I haven’t tried to do flames yet, I am looking at doing hand striped flames if I go that way. I have a practice glass with lines laid out for the dagger brush practicing. We’ll see……
I’m into rat rods and the rat look. That’s why I noticed your paint up there, it did kind of remind me of a rat look…..
