I have six feet of 3.9″ QT.

I have seen some rockets split. And have read that in
‘minimum diameter’ applications warping from heat
may occur.

Any other considerations I should know about?

Don’t get it out of the car from November though April 😉

The biggest problem it has is it’s CTE. Thermal expansion and contraction is really significant with that stuff. You have to be careful about cold weather especially when it contracts and tightens down on your couplers, pistons and nose cone shoulders. Bad things I tell ya!

Of course, the opposite is true as well. Try to fly it in July and you will swear that the airframe grew a size on the drive out 😉

Yea….I figured it it was real good stuff it would be all
over.

I probably will make electronic bay stiffys out of it.

Take a slice out of it veretically and slide it into a coupler.

It should work well for that. Got it last year when Hobby
Town was moving. 50% off.

It isn’t that bad, I have built and flown several rockets out of it before. The great thing about it is that it requires no filling of any kind when you go to paint it. It is sort of like the poor man’s fiberglass tubing. I have done enough filling and sanding that a little expansion or contraction isn’t so bad 🙂

Mike, you cannot – under any circumstances – do anything minimum diameter… it will liquify. PML is pretty adamant about not using it for motor tubes, etc.
