My Accelerated Motion seperated after a few seconds of
a late apogee deployment.
My shock cords were nylon and well used. They had been
singed a few times and were brittle.
When the late apogee charge (that was too large) activated
it tore the cords and the seperation took place.
Why was the apogee charge late?
My fault….In no way do I blame anybody but My self.
I used a loaner RRC2 mini. When installing it I think I noticed the
profile switch was on #2. #1 is default and #2 can be programmed.
There was a good chance that being on #2 it had been programmed
away from a default setting.
Probably as a secondary apogee charge.
I never asked. I never checked the setting. I could have very easily
asked. He was ten feet away from Me.
This is theory….
Regardless: My shock cords were too used. My charges were to large.
And I should have known or asked the electronics.
Anyway. My new airframe pieces came in and repair has started.
A little PL Premium, fin alignment, primer and paint.
I purchased kevlar shock cord, will lower the charge a gram or
two and it will be ready by Oktoberfest.
Thanks for all the help getting it into the air. it was a spectacular
up.
