ParticipantOh yea Scotte, I took it as No offense. Im pretty hard to offend anyhow. But no worries. I was just posting and blabbing about my kid and how much cool stuff she does that makes it all worth the things we do as parents. I find it fun to share what My daughter has done having been a member of this family we call NCR long before it was even NCR. in fact Going on roughly 7 to 8 years now we have known many of the folks here. Back when it was PHITS and TRM. I was looking at some pictures earlier when Danielle was flying some of her earlier rockets like at the very first MHM… Thats been a long ways back. Now here she is slapping a challenge to Art even. Haha.. Art is known as the Boy wonder.. Maybe if she beats the Boy wonder, Danielle can become the Girl Wonder.. Ya never know. To me though she already is. Gee can ya tell Proud Dad!! LOL

Scotte, this club is my second family. True, we all love rockets but we’re all good people and enjoy each others company… when you go down that hill at the north site or turn left at the Atlas site, it’s always like a family reunion. Conway, again congrats to Danielle! Scotte, Conway’s the guy who carred that rocket I showed you back on his shoulder. Family.

Good
I was more poking fun at a parents willingness to do what ever it takes for thier kids, over and beond what they would do for themselves.
And that reminds me, if I dont get L2 in Jan. or Feb. it wont happen in March. The Pine Wood Derbys coming at the end of Febuary. I, umm I mean my kids have a lot of work to do that month! 😉December 10, 2007 at 12:50 pm #46125SCOTT EVANS
Those women you do see in the hard engineering fields tend overwhelmingly to be Indian or Chinese these days – at least where I work. 3/4 of our female engineering staff are from mainland China and India – most of the rest are from eastern Europe and Russia. Only one American born female engineer at our place.
Warren
My son is a freshman at Colo School of Mines. Virtually all the degrees awarded @ CSM are engineering related.
To underscore what Warren said, the student population @ CSM is 81% male.
I pointed out this demographic challenge to my son… to which he said “I may have to offshore”….
Most impressive.
From the day we moved to Colorado, my dad being an Engineer and me being in High School, it was maid clear that the CSM and a degree from the School would be very Prestigious.December 10, 2007 at 12:53 pm #46126SCOTT EVANS

As I tell Alec, “getting into CSM is one thing. Getting OUT (with a degree) is another”. I wasn’t smart enough to get in, let alone get out.
He’s doing just great, but he has a ways to go… We keep him focused!
