I was saddened to learn that Kent Burnett’s mother passed away earlier today. Many of us in NCR know Kent Burnett (of Giant Leap Rocketry) quite well; Kent has flown with us a time or two. If you never met Kent, rest assured that his handiwork has shown up in many, many of our projects over the years.

Tim Thomas has indicated he will be passing along information regarding memorial services, etc. Please keep Kent in your thoughts and prayers–

I am so sorry to hear that, John. Kent was the first vendor who helped me out at a pad at Oktoberfest 2005. What a great person he is. Our prayers are with him.

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
