We have gotten some pretty substantial rain on / near the launch sites. Strange year. I actally ran my furnace for a few minutes this AM 😯
There was an article in the paper about the banner year the Prairie Primrose was having this year — those were the white flowers that were so prominently displayed on the prairie over Memorial Day weekend.
Let it rain!

The last and only time I actually saw the prairie green was during the June ’07 launch, even had horny toads (lizards) jumping through the grass. Yep, let it rain! 😉
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
