Hey everyone!
Tripoli-Colorado’s “Fall Frenzy” launch is coming up soon! It is scheduled for Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16. COSROCS will be joining us on Saturday and bringing their launch system for low- and medium-powered flights. Saturday will be commercial motors only, and Sunday will be a Tripoli Research launch, so normal research rules apply. The standard waiver at the Hartsel site is 7,000 ft AGL all day with windows available to 14,200 ft.
Joe Hinton and Jon Skuba will be there. If you need motors, call Joe ahead of time.
Some of us will be camping at Round Mountain campground, located about 10 miles east of the launch site, just east of Wilkerson Pass. If you’d like to join us, I recommend reserving a site, although at this time of year, the sites don’t usually sell out beforehand.

See you there!

I’ll be there 😀
Launch is go, see you there!
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
