Ok I have several tubes I would like to get rid of. There are about 100 or more tubes ranging in size from 1 inch in diameter up to 10 inches in diameter and ranging from 1 foot to over 4 feet long.
Here is the story. A while ago I worked at the Home Depot. It became known to everyone that worked there that I built and flew rockets so people started saving and giving me tubes. This included all the night time shift guys that would save me shipping and packing tubes that materials came. I also have a lot of shorter tubes (coupler material) that came on wire spools. I lot of the tubes would be perfect for rockets or mandrels. I now make my own fiberglass tubes and I need to do some spring cleaning. So the first person with $50 and shows up to haul them gets them. I will put up a picture link later today.
Sorry but I will not part them out as there are too many so it is all or none.

Mike,
Can’t you turn them all into one big tube fin rocket?

Actually I was hoping someone else could. Here are few pictures of what you would get. Keep in mind that in these pictures you do not get everything you see but 95% of what you see and yes, none of the completed rockets.

Warren B. MusselmanModeratorMy wife is probably very glad but doesn’t know it yet that I gave up using paper and phenolic for rockets or else our garage would look like that.
One interesting thing, my wife came back from the fabric store a couple months back with a bunch of fabric and guess what it was rolled up on? PML 38mm phenolic tubing. I was stunned. The stuff is cheap enough that they’re selling the over-production as packing material.

ParticipantWarren,
Still got any of that PML “fabric core”? Some of us still use “that little stuff” 😆
I’ve already got a stash of assorted cardboard, so I’ll pass on the lot.

Jeffrey Joe HintonModeratorReminds me that I still need to publish the CROCS tube rocket contest rules. I’ll see if I can scratch together something this weekend to post.

Warren B. MusselmanModeratorI’ve already started using it Ken. Booster stage for a 2 stage MD bird. Probably a J570 booster and maybe an I600 second stage.

ParticipantNow that I want to see! Not that I’d see it once you pushed the button. 😈
That’s what I like to see, Warren, nothing half-assed. That’s fully assed!

Ok I am stealing my thread back.
I have cleaned out all the tubes (and everything else) from above my garage. I put down new sub flooring to make earlier to walk around and also store stuff. I am not putting the tubes back up there so please take them or I am going to throw them out. Many of these tubes are great tubes for rocketry. I hope I can find someone to take them, sure would be a waste. Once I get the floor finish and everything else back up in a organized fashion I will take better pictures of the tube.
