Another opportuity to prove we know what we’re doing. I have been contacted by someone seeking help with their water rocket Eggonaut for a Science Olmpiad. Bottle goes up straight but doesn’t release payload/parachute. She’s getting frustrated and hopes someone, anyone could help determine options and resolve issues before April 24th deadline. Located in Highlands Ranch, so it’s a stretch for me to get there to help or hinder. Interested in helping out? Let me know and I’ll forward more info.
Pass the info onto me – I did some about 5 years ago, I can go back and look up what I did and maybe it might help.

I’m thinking 12 grams of BP… no? Sorry, did a water rocket when I was a kid, and they usually just come back down. Try Alka-Seltzer sealed in something that takes a while to leak into it then fizz out?
I spent some time playing around with those as some might remember a few years back. I got pretty good at lofting 2 liter bottles and recovering them uner chute, no electronics, no mechanics, no pyro. Feel free to give her/them my e-mail and phone Joe, if I can help I would be happy too!

We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
