ParticipantI’ve called all the sporting goods and gun shops around here in Littleton and none of them carry BP. Anyone know where a place to get it is?

There’s a store called the blunderbuss, specializes in BP stuff. I can’t recall the exact location, hopefuly someone will remember. If you can’t find any by the launch, then lots of people up there should have it.

ParticipantIf you’re looking for basic smokeless BP, I have a can I use for my flintlocks. Don’t know if it will work for you but I’ll be happy to bring the can up Friday. You can have as much as you need…

Only if it is FFFFg (4F). 3F works too, but 4F is preferred. IIRC, flintlocks only use this for the tiny primer charge. If you have some, bring it though – great if you drop an ejection charge, or something like that.

ParticipantGood call. Have a can of each (3f and 4f). I’ll bring the can of 4f. Just in case. Isn’t smokeless as I previously thought.

Not a problem – we don’t really care (Actually, standard is better in many ways for our purposes). I too will have an almost full 1lb can of 4F – if you need any, just ask.

ModeratorCache La Poudre Rifleworks on College Avenue in Old Town Fort Collins (google maps helps here) carries BP. Bring cash or check as there is a surcharge for plastic. They carry 4F.

The blunderbuss is on Colfax somewhere…that’s where I got mine from.
He’s got TONS of 4ffffg, and when I purchased it he just smiled and said “you’re a rocketeer aren’t ya?”
you should get a pound for about $14.

ParticipantYup, i visted Jim just last Friday. Thanks for the tip guys. Jim was very cool and we spent a few minutes griping about the regulatory agencies trying to ruin our fun 😡 Now I’ve got my 4F and my altimeter, just need to build an e-bay for a rocket.
