I’m thinking of putting up my Accelerated Motion one last time. it’s been hanging in the basement for a few years begging to go.
I have an L1115 for a nice slow flight. Can not put three J285s alone side to air start as it would be above my level two 5100 newton seconds limit at the pad.
have a couple dings to repair and wiring to put back in but for the most part
it’s ready to fly.
But it still is a pretty cool flight.
I would need some help loading on the rail.
I see no reason tonight why I can’t tow. I will have the trailer there between
7:30 and 8:00 am Saturday. Not sure if I can return tow. That has been jinxed lately
If you can get the trailer there for Saturday, I’ll make sure it gets back on Sunday. And I’m sure there will be helpers for the rail loading – excited to see it fly again. FYI, you are allowed to fly up to 5160 NS as a L2 not that the extra 60 would make much of a difference. Then again, who’s really counting when it comes to clusters.
Mike,
Currently planning on setting up my camp trailer out there on Friday afternoon. If you run into any snags,,, or just rather not have to drive those extra miles early on Saturday morning, give me a call or text and I can run down there after I set up the trailer and haul ‘er up later on Friday.
I’ll PM you with my cell number…
if you need it Mike. I’ll be showing up Saturday hopefully for set up. What’s the trailer’s ETA?
Steve
I will be there both days, camping in the RV. I will come with both parents and my grandparents on my mom’s side.
Hope to do my Jr. L1 cert. with a FG MadCow DX3 on a CTI H133.
If that goes well, then it’s an attempt at a mile with a CTI I242; DD with an AIM 3 altimiter. Onboard video as well. If anyone happens to have some 4f bp that they would be willing to sell, I would love to use some for this flight. I have some 2f, but it requires a lot of the 2f to shear the pins.
Can’t wait to see you all there!
Around 7:30 ish

Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order.
