Jeffrey Joe HintonModeratorEpic! And there were several other awesome adventures up! Lots of pictures and videos getting posted on YouTube and elsewhere. Time to plan another project to take out next year just to be there.

AdrianParticipantI think 2012 Balls is going to have another strong Colorado showing. Sean, myself, James Russell, and Larry, among others, are planning the trip.

ParticipantAdrian, are we going to fly unLeashed? I need to bug Jeroen for the load… if he builds the motor, I’ll be there.

Warren B. MusselmanModeratorBelieve it or not, I was just looking at UnLeashed the other day thinking it was time to do the strakes and start thinking about filling and wet sanding the whole thing. Hopefully, I’d be able to go to BALLS 2012 to fly it.

AdrianParticipantIt would be great to send unLeashed up with you guys if Jeroen comes through with his special L. I’m also going to go for my L3 cert and if that works, try to raise the bar on the M record. I also still have the major pieces for a big multi-stage 38mm flight. If I put enough arming switches in there, I should be able to prep that one the week before I head out. I wonder how many total vertical feet we could combine for if everything goes right? (yeah right) In theory, I could chip in up to 160,000 or so. Maybe we should challenge other clubs to a total altitude duel?

ParticipantKen, the rocket isn’t all that astounding – it is basically a ultra-lightweight Mongoose 54 with some nifty modifications. All the magic is in the motor – which is a Cesaroni project that we’ll have to let Dr. J talk about 🙂 we are bound to secrecy on that part of it.
Adrian and I flew unLeashed once – the capital “L” is due to the fact that it is an “L” motor project. We gave it a shakedown on a regular load. Warren built much of the rocket – did the v-bagging, etc.
We think it will go to ___ ft!!!!
