NCR Club Launch - February 2013

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Bear for towing both ways and for bringing the fence ladder.  Great to be celebrating Ground Hog Day on the prairie.  36 different flyers put up 103 flights - 70 Class One and 33 Class Two.  Preston Middle School dominated the skies with over 18 flights amongst the visitors. Barry Friedrichs started the Alphabet challenge again, getting halfway thru required D flights.  Other notable flights- Dave Smith joins the Mile High club with a boost to 5424' and five members advanced their Levels of Certification - Jack Mathews, Ross Kimball and Marlon Holmquist earned their L2's. David Pinter and Cherise Osler earned their L'1's.  Flights are listed in a random order and motor usage wents as follows: A's= 8, B's=6, C's=20, D's=12, E's=6, F's=7, G's=11, H's=14, I's=12 and J's=7 

Weather Conditions

Clear skies prevailed for the day, with temps creeping up to the mid fifties making for a spectacular day to celebrate in defiance of winter before a nasty wind from the northwest blew in about 2 PM.   Waiver was closed at 2:30.
