Despite moderate winds for most of the weekend, NCR's May club launch was quite successful. We boosted 136 flights on Saturday, with the Civil Air Patrol being responsible for at least half of those, and another 36 on Sunday.
Congratulations to our two new L3 members, Scott Corliss and Mike Huber. Both had huge, successful flights.
Thanks to all those who helped set up the range and assisted other fliers with their endeavors. Special thanks to our LCO's: Ed Dawson, Scott Corliss, Mark Jeffords, and Major Tom (no musical pun intended) of the CAP. And also to our clean up crew: Vic Davis, Mike Brazell (sorry if I misspelled it), Mark Jeffords, Mike Huber, John Nelson, and Steve Jenson.
Volunteer efforts are what make our launches memorable events. Please look for a message from Ed Dawson regarding the equipment clean-up "party" in the next few weeks (before Mile High Mayhem). The equipment needs a LOT of clean-up and repairs.
