Launch Summary
Regularly schedueld club launch. Thanks to Ken Plattner for towing out the equipment trailer and to Ed Dawson for towing it home. 42 flyers put up 96 flights with Roman Perincheril and Dennis Billings leading the way with seven each. Notable flights include three certifications that I am aware of - L1 to William Taylor, L2 to Dennis Billings and L3 to Mike Konshak. Flights will be listed in random order as the launch cards have been sorted and shuffled a few times eliminating the correct sequence of the events. Motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used. 1/4 A's=1, A's= 6, B's=13, C's=20, D's=1, E's=5, F's=8, G's=12, H's=6, I's=10, J's=10, K's=2 L's=1 and M's=1.
Weather Conditions
Another stunning day on the praiire. Beautiful clear skies, temperatures reaching into the sixties and fairly calm winds until early afternoon. Expected nasty winds rolled in shortly after three and we called it a day.

Slipstick III, is a 10 foot tall 5 inch diameter 38 pound rocket made entirely from G10 FRP. Its based on the Performance Rocketry Eliminator 5 kit, but has custom modifications, for avabays, zipperless construction and an alternate fin design. The fins were layed with a layer of carbon fibre and FRP tip-to-tip. There are two avionics bays, one handles all deployment tasks using a Missileworks RRC2X as the primary controller and a RRC2-mini as a backup. The second avbay is in the nose cone and contains a Garmin DC20 dog tracking GPS transmitter for recovery tracking. Slipstick III's paint was sponsored by Pete Fitzsimmons at FitzGraphix, Broomfield, CO 303-817-0774. The L3 documentation with complete construction details may be viewed at http://www.telerover.com
