NCR Club Launch (Day 1 of 3)

Launch Summary

This is day 1 of NCR's first 3-Day launch event. Each day of this launch is recorded as a separate event to facilitate comprehensive launch reporting. The hours for this day of launching ran from 12:00noon to 5:00pm for high power. Then from 5:00pm to dark for low power flights. John Wilke set a new "I" motor record with the flight of Contender on an I132, reaching 12,136ft AGL.

Weather Conditions

Steady ground winds blew most of the afternoon and into the evening, causing flyers to use some of their smaller motors. Otherwise, warm temperatures and partly cloudy skies made for a good 1/2 day of flying.
